Weddings played a very special role in Leah and Alan’s relationship from the very beginning. Fate brought them together at a mutual friend’s wedding, and after 9 months of dating, Alan proposed and they began to dream about their own day with all their friends and family celebrating them.
They quickly settled on Bass Hall, a 2000-seat performing arts venue in the hart of downtown Fort Worth because of the rare opening in the schedule that allowed them to host their reception on the stage itself. Being TCU Alumni, they chose the recently renovated Robert Carr Chapel with its airy interior and traditional atmosphere.
The architectural features of Bass Hall lent themselves to the downtown chic aesthetic the couple aspired to. Floor to ceiling windows, soaring domes, and outdoor terraces that sat just above the bustle of downtown Fort Worth and just below the carved angels that adorn the exterior were just some of the backdrops Leah and Alan were drawn to as they considered their wedding photos.
After the ceremony, guests were treated to a grand dinner setting in the expansive theater. Leah and Alan performed their first dance to one of their favorite songs as a couple – none other than Africa by Toto. Thanks to Hunter of Opal and Slate Events for making the day run effortlessly and making sure each guest had an incredible experience.
