Love Club Valentine’s Wedding at The Museum of Fine Arts Houston

Blair and Matt’s MFAH wedding planned by Holloway Events unfolded like a late-night film set inside the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. With February 15 as the only available date, the celebration leaned fully into romance – less Valentine’s cliché, more cinematic supper club.

Guests arrived in red and pink attire, moving through galleries and marble halls where jazz notes floated above candlelit tables. Handwritten love notes replaced traditional escort cards. Table names referenced iconic couples – Harry and Sally, Maria and Captain Von Trapp- while vintage details softened the museum’s sharp lines.

Blair wore a Lela Rose gown with a pearl tiara and blush belt, her look nodding to classic Hollywood rather than bridal tradition. As the evening unfolded, the mood shifted from elegance to playful nostalgia when guests joined a choreographed rom-com moment inspired by My Best Friend’s Wedding, lobster claws and all.

Houston weddings often unfold across layered timelines and complicated logistics, where scale and intimacy exist side by side. Between transitions, elevator rides, and church lobbies, the most telling moments surfaced in passing: a hand adjusted, a glance exchanged, a dress lifted just enough to clear marble steps. The celebration demanded constant recalibration from me and my team – capturing the grandeur of a museum wedding while remaining attentive to the quiet, unscripted moments that happened in motion.
