Modern Indoor Garden Wedding at The Arlo

A modern sunset portrait of an Austin, Texas couple getting married

Cody and Emma had been dating for a long time prior to getting engaged. The minute Cody popped the question, they were ready to begin the wedding planning process to get married as soon as possible. Emma's father played a huge role in the planning process and worked closely with Alex Moreau to create an elevated yet relaxed wedding that would leave guests excited to see what was coming next.

As soon as guests arrived at The Arlo, they were welcomed into a custom string light cafe on the front lawn. A hot chocolate bar and an array of macarons to enjoy at intimate bistro tables kept guests busy as the DJ played some coffee shop tunes. As guests were gracefully guided to the ceremony area at The Arlo, named Storie Hall, they were impressed by the modern indoor garden that had been created with stunning florals and ghost chairs, but even more so by the white piano perched on its own stage in the middle. Fast Car by Max Arnald played as the family and bridal party entered Storie Hall until it was time for Emma and John to walk down the aisle. The sister of the bride had her own dramatic entrance down the aisle, by stepping onto the piano stage and beginning to play only for the bride as she made her way down the aisle.

The couple, guided by XO Moreau, merged the best of both worlds with a modern black tie affair and sprinkling in true Texas elements during cocktail hour, such as an 8ft guac and queso bar with tray passed canned beers. When it was time for guests to begin seating for dinner, they were welcomed into a seating cabana filled with tall floral arrangements and seating assignments. The kids found their seats to include exciting activities and gifted backpacks with stuffed bunnies in them, which were lovingly carried around the entire evening. The fun didn't stop there as the dinner menu included street tacos, an elote bar, a mac & cheese bar, and more brisket than guests knew what to do with. Cody and Emma’s first dance included a live pyro show to Greta Van Fleet, which led into more dance floor surprises! Dart Collective brought the fire jams and later brought in a sax and trumpet to amp up the party. As the end of the night came around, more pyro stole the show! Cody and Emma seemed to effortlessly float through their wedding day, and it was an honor to capture their wedding day.
