Getting to share photos from a bridal session always feels like getting to release my own “From the Vault” work (Taylor Swift reference – iykyk). They’re hard to keep secret for so long, but these bridal photos of Lauren seem like they just got better with time.
Lauren chose the fabulous Hotel Drover in Fort Worth for her wedding, but when it came to her bridal portraits, she was after a more romantic and sophisticated backdrop. I recommended The Olana, known for its elegant, naturally lit interior and well-manicured grounds.
Lauren was an absolute vision in her Monique Lhuillier gown, wearing it with an unparalleled grace that makes it seem tailored just for her. Her delicate Lily of the Valley bouquet was the perfect complement, adding that final touch without concealing the gown. One magical moment was when we added the bolero that Lauren wore for her church ceremony. It blended so seamlessly with the dress that you’d hardly even know it was a separate piece! I can’t decide which look I love more – with, or without.
Bridal sessions tend to involve a bit more posing than my usual style on the wedding day. However, my number one priority is always making sure my brides look and feel natural, confident, and effortlessly elegant in their photos. So, we experimented with different poses, played music, and kept the atmosphere light, allowing Lauren’s inner beauty and personality to shine through the camera. Truly, we had so much fun galavanting around this beautiful location, with this stunning bride in an unbelievable gown. Pinching myself that we got to do this shoot!
