Nestled in the heart of Austin, Texas, Prospect House provided the perfect backdrop for a springtime wedding that seamlessly blended New York elegance with Texan charm. For the couple, Austin locals with ties to the University of Texas, it was a celebration of love and acknowledgement of their community.
Planned with meticulous detail by Lovely Day Events, the wedding was a visual delight. Mismatched bridesmaids dresses may be one of my favorite wedding trends. Bursting with color and individuality, they set the tone for the day. Florals by Serracinna mirrored Corey and Kyle’s organic style, with arrangements that were organic, wild, and colorful.
Guests enjoyed a weekend filled with Texas flair, a nod to Austin’s growing popularity. Western-themed elements were woven throughout, from the cowboy-chic dress code that encouraged boots and hats to the delicious offerings of Lucy’s Fried Chicken.
Corey designed her own paper goods, ensuring every detail reflected her personal taste. This wedding wasn’t just an event; it was a celebration of the season and an opportunity to express their personal style through a one-of-a-kind event.
Corey and Kyle came to me hoping to achieve wedding photos that were colorful, creative, and emphasized film photography. They were drawn to fine art photos with a documentary twist – with the ultimate goal of having a gallery they could cherish for years to come that would take them back to the emotions of their wedding day.
